Walmart, Target Buy and Best Buy (hours may vary)
Target will be open from 7 am to 10pm.
WalMart opened bright and early at 6am and will stay open until 11pm.
BestBuy opened at 7am.
Sears – a 2-Day New Years Sales with stores open from 9am to 6pm. Macy’s – the start of their 4-day sale event. Old Navy – with Holiday After Party Sales up to 60% off. Retail stores: Open at owner’s discretion.
Liquor stores: Open.
Supermarkets: Open.
Convenience stores: Open.
Taverns, bars: Open.
Stock market: Closed. MBTA: Subways, buses, trackless trolleys, and commuter rail on Sunday schedule.

Shopping malls will remain open but according to their hour of choice.

Grocery stores will remain open but for a shorter time and it may vary from place to place. You would have to contact your local store. Trash services (closed) but it will presume the next day.
Post offices (closed) Rail services will be running but on limited schedule. You would have to check your near by rail station.
Register delivery will also continue for a limited time.
