Rich Rodriguez sideline gear up for sale

Rich Rodriguez Rodriguez
But his attachment to MICHIGAN apparel apparently ended with his termination.
Rodriguez, fired Jan. 5 after three seasons as coach of the Wolverines, has donated 432 maize-and-blue Michigan items he amassed during his tenure to the Salvation Army, Maj. John Aren told the Detroit Free Press.
Rodriguez's coaching shirts, hats and jackets will be among the items sold Saturday at the charitable organization's store in Wayne, Mich.
"We're going to sell everything from six bucks to, I don't know, maybe we'll auction off a couple of the jackets," Aren told the Free Press. "It'll be for not much more than 25 percent what they'd pay at a store."
Aren said Rodriguez declined an invitation to sign autographs at the sale.
"He kind of took a deep breath and said his buddies are probably going to take him someplace warm this weekend," Aren told the newspaper.
