The eight-part miniseries The Kennedys, starring Greg Kinnear and Katie Holmes, has been passed on by another network.
Showtime has decided not to buy the miniseries that was just dropped by The History Channel last week.
An exec claims that "there has been interest expressed by several networks.” That may be true but there are no takers yet. HBO already has an adaptation of Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy in development with Playtone, and Starz has not been approached.
Many believe that the film is slanted politically but director said that “the actual product takes no political stance one way or the other.”
Guess we'll have to wait and see!
