Collins Tuohy: The Blind-Side Daughter “Making it Happen”

Collins Tuohy, whose family was portrayed in “The Blind Side,” is touring the country to speak to students and children about life with her NFL brother Michael Oher.
Academy Award winning film “The Blind Side” told the story of the white and wealthy Tuohy family who took in Michael Oher, a poor black teenager, who later became a first round draft pick in the NFL. Collins was portrayed by Lily Collins, daughter of singer Phil Collins.
Collins is on the Board of the Making it Happen Foundation, "dedicated to changing children's lives through hope, love, and opportunity,” and frequently talks to groups about Michael and the way her life changed when he became part of their family.
Collins and Michael attended Ole Miss together, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. She is now represented by the Greater Talent Network, a celebrity speakers’ representation group.
"The most important thing that I want people to take away from my message, and I always try to include every time I speak - it's a little bit about the power of one. One person can't necessarily change the world, but you can definitely change the world for one person," Collins says.
