The much anticipated Tournament of Roses parade has been unveiled on New Year's Day with the Rose Parade taking place for the 122nd time in California.
Paula Deen is this year's grand marshall of the 2011 Tournament of Roses parade. Deen is well known from her many books on cooking along with television appearances.
The floats featuring thousands of roses are assembled just days before the parade which takes place in Pasadena.
The television channel HGTV has also made their own float in conjunction with their latest contest in which they give away a custom dream home to one lucky winner. The contest runs through February 18 for a chance to win the home along with cash and a GMC truck.
