2011 Cotton Bowl: Live Coverage and Analysis Of LSU Vs. Texas A&M
Good evening, college football fans! This is Keyon Jeff, featured columnist here, ready to guide you through the 75th edition of the Cotton Bowl between the LSU Tigers and the Texas A&M Aggies from Cowboys Stadium.
LSU (10-2, 6-2) is tied for second in the Southeastern Conference West Division under sixth-year coach Les Miles The Tigers have won 10 of its last 13 bowl games and are 27-1 versus non-SEC opponents during Miles' tenure. This is the Tigers' fifth Cotton Bowl appearance (2-1-1).
Texas A&M (9-3, 6-2) is tied for second in the Big XII south division under third-year coach Mike Sherman. The Aggies are riding a six-game winning streak into tonight's contest; however, they have lost four straight bowl games. This is the Aggies' 12th Cotton Bowl appearance (4-7).
Anticipate an entertaining game with Texas A&M's balanced, high-powered offense going up against a very tough LSU defense.
Enjoy the game and read on for more of my insight.
