S officials are recalling a type of candy called the Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge Chew Bars as the candy actually is in fact toxic, the Food and Drug Administration said Friday.

The maker of the candy is Circle City Marketing and Distributing, doing business as Candy Dynamics. It is based in Indianapolis, but imports the candy from Pakistan. A California health agency tested the product and found that cherry flavored versions of the above product has elevated levels of lead, which can be very harmful when consumed by humans.

The lead-tainted candy could “potentially could cause health problems, particularly for infants, small children, and pregnant women,” the FDA said in a statement.

Out of caution, the company agreed to recall
