Nothing wrong with getting more Brad Pitt on the big screen.
After a bit of a throwdown with some other interested distributors, The Weinstein Company has acquired domestic rights to Cogan’s Trade, a big screen adaptation of George V. Higgins novel starring the Pitt-ster. WW.WDALAW.COM Brad plays the title character, Jackie Cogan, a "professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high stakes poker game held under the protection of the mob." Also in the cast are are Brad's Assassination of Jesse James costars Casey Affleck and Sam Rockwell.
With the distributor all set, the flick will start production at the end of February and get an early 2012 release.
