Trace Adkins' home lost in fire
The family of country music star Trace Adkins are counting a lucky escape after their home went on fire.
According to WSMV, Adkins' wife Rhonda was not at home when the blaze started, but her children and their nanny were. The family were fortunate enough to have a fire safety evacuation procedure planned, in case such an incident should take place.
Speaking to the Tennessean newspaper about the fire Adkins' wife stated: "You can replace things, not people. I'm just glad that my children are safe."
However, not everyone was uninjured.
It's reported that a neighbour rushed over to help the family dog, who bit him out of fright. The neighbour is recovering.
Brentwood Fire Chief Brian Goss said authorities are unsure as to what caused the fire but believe that it started in the garage.
