Laura Govan Abandoned! Gilbert Arenas Abandons Pregnant Girlfriend and Three Children

Laura Govan, the fiancé of basketball star Gilbert Arenas, has been left without any money for herself or her three children, according to her publicist Laura Wright.

After Arenas departed from the Washington Wizards for the Orlando Magic in December, it seems that the star has cut off funds and communication from Govan, who is currently pregnant with their fourth child. “[Govan] has not heard from Arenas the whole month of December,” said Wright in an e-mailed statement. “Govan and the children feel like they have been abandoned.”

Wright added that Govan wasn’t even left with money for Christmas presents.

“[Govan was left]  with no money to purchase food or Christmas gifts.” The pair, who had gone through a famously tumultuous 9-year courtship—intermittent stormy breaks up and reunions, custody battles and an elaborate marriage proposal—apparently broke up this time around Thanksgiving.

Although Arenas, 28, and Govan, 31, didn’t announce their separation, Arenas hinted that trouble was brewing when he recently told reported that he had been staying with Wizards teammate Nick Young for about a month.
