As you may know, we here at Right Celebrity offer up a heaping plate of heck for those who dare dress too ridiculously—and no one is safe.

We’ve gone after all violators, young and old, in our quest to call out those who seem to prefer getting dressed in the dark.

Today we’ll hone in on Carol Channing, who was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center Honors this week.

Now I know there is a special place somewhere near the Earth’s mantle for folks who rip on their elders, but that’s the kind of risk I’m willing to take for the cause.

Channing’s red satin get-up looks more like the wrapping for a Christmas gift basket than the attire of a classy Broadway singer. Her clutch, though most likely pricey, looks like something you’d give a five-year-old girl as her first little purse—you know the kind that sheds sequins like a Collie.

Even Little Red Riding Hood would question wearing such an overly red outfit a few days after Christmas.
