Christina Aguilera - Christina Aguilera's Record Label Paid The Wrong Owner Of "Ain't No Other Man" Sample?
Christina Aguilera - Grammy-award winning artist Christina Aguilera is named in a lawsuit filed by TufAmerica along with her record label, Sony Music. Christina's 2006 hit "Ain't No Other Man" was sampled from Dave Cortez and the Moon People’s 1968 cut “Hippy Skippy Moon Strut. Christina's label Sony reportedly cleared the rights to the song with the wrong owner! Sony cleared the rights with Codigo Music and the Clyde Otis Music Group to use the song.
TufAmerica owns the rights to the jazzy retro track since 2004 and has now filed a lawsuit against Sony demanding they be declared the rightful owners of the song and be paid restitution as well.
Christina Aguilera has found herself in a string of headlines recently, mostly negative from her Superbowl flub to her arrest last week. On a more positive note for the star, Christina confirmed she will be a judge on NBC's "The Voice".
